On the wooded slopes of Vermont's Green Mountains, West Hill House is a beautiful setting for your special day. The surrounding Mad River Valley, with its gorgeous scenery, year round activities like skiing and golf, and attractions including Ben & Jerry's, is the perfect destination to invite your guests to come to for a few days to explore, enjoy and relax.

As you and your guests come up the quiet country lane to our beautiful 1850's home, you will all be surrounded by the peace and serenity of the trees and hills.

It is our goal to do all in our power to help you have a happy wedding day, one that you will have fond memories of 25 years down the road! With this goal in mind, we will work with you to personalize your event and to accommodate your wishes.

Our newly renovated Handsome Red Barn offers a perfect venue for up to 80 people. We book only 6 such events per summer/autumn season so that we can provide you with personal attention and assistance to help you have a memorable and stress free celebration. We also offer wedding celebrations year round for up to 30 people.

For the couple that prefers a quiet celebration with just the two of you, or with a small group of friends and family, we also offer everything you need for a beautiful and memorable wedding.

Please call or email us to request our Celebration Packet which provides full details of how we can help you make your special day a memorable occasion at West Hill House. Please include the month and year you plan to marry, the approximate number of guests you are expecting, and your contact details.

Our nine peaceful acres with beautiful perennial gardens, birch gazebo, meadows and ornamental ponds provide a lovely setting for weddings and receptions.

To create the perfect wedding, all that is needed is your personal touch: food, flowers, candles, music, friends and family. We do ask that you book all the guest rooms for your event.

Depending on the size of the group and the season, we also offer the use of the inn and its canopied terrace.

We will be pleased to assist you with catering for your event. We also offer on-site catering for Rehearsal Dinners and "First Morning" Brunches for up to 24 guests. We are state licensed for the sale of beer and wine and will be happy to provide the beverages of your choice.

The inn features three large common areas, an elegant dining room, and nine queen or twin/king bed guestrooms with fireplaces and air conditioning. All guest rooms have private ensuite baths with Jacuzzi tubs or steam showers.

We can call on an extensive group of other wedding professionals in the Mad River Valley to provide whatever services you need, from the JP for the ceremony, the photographer, the flowers, the music, the wedding cake, even to the style of forks you decide to eat your cake with! Also we will be happy to recommend nearby inns for your other guests.

Be sure to check out the legal requirements that apply for Weddings in the state of Vermont. In general there are few formalities.
