The mountains that make up Sugarbush and Mad River Glen include four of the highest in the State. The views from the top are spectacular, either after a walk up the Long Trail in the warmer months or from the top of the chair lifts when you are skiing. The main roads have been designated as the Mad River Byway as a result of the beautiful scenery and attractions in the area.
Activities also include exploring local shops, artisans, quaint villages, covered bridges, galleries, summer concerts, and theater nearby. Enjoy local festivals such as the Vermont Festival of the Arts in the Mad River Valley, and Fourth of July Celebrations. You can visit the home of America's best ice cream, Ben and Jerry's and sample award winning cheese at the Cabot cheese factory. In the evening you can dine at one of the area's many fine restaurants.
West Hill House is a member of the Mad River Valley Chamber of Commerce and is a shareholder in Mad River Glen, America’s only cooperatively owned ski area.
