Breakfast & more ...

Start your day with a wonderful Breakfast. Each morning our guests enjoy a full, hot breakfast  which is served usually in our dining room at our mid-century 12 person dining table. On occasion, breakfast is served in the Living Room or Sun Room, and in the warmer months sometimes on the deck overlooking the gardens. During the ski season breakfast is served at 7:45 AM, and during the rest of the year breakfast is at 8:30 AM.

For dinner, in addition to a number of excellent Restaurants nearby, we also can provide a number of options for an evening meal on request - see details below.

For those who need that early morning cuppa', freshly brewed Vermont Green Mountain coffee and hot water for tea are available 30 minutes before breakfast is served. You may take your beverage to your room or sip it in the comfort of one of our common rooms.

Our sumptuous three-course breakfast starts with fruit juice, home made breads or muffins and a specially prepared fruit dish. A tantalizing hot entrée is then presented to you to give your taste buds an early morning treat. The menu of the day might include Sweet Pepper Scrambled Eggs, Breakfast Casserole, Ginger Pancakes with Lemon Sauce, Pain Perdu (French Toast) with local Mad River Valley Maple Syrup, Asparagus filled Crêpes or Granny's Cheesey Soufflé. Then perhaps some pictures are better than words...

Coffee, tea and hot chocolate are always available at the dining room beverage nook, and afternoon snacks are ready for you when you return from your day of skiing or exploring. Raiding the cookie jar is encouraged!

Dinner: While West Hill House is not a restaurant, we do offer our guests two options for eating here in the evening. If you will be arriving between 8:00 PM and 9:30 PM, and do not plan to stop for dinner en route, for a small additional charge we can offer you a  bistro meal at West Hill House when you arrive.  For 6 or more guests we will serve a full candlelight dinner and give you a choice from a limited menu. (We do need a minimum of 24 hours notice for evening meals, and they are not available during the foliage season.)

Common Man RestaurantWe are also delighted to announce that we have teamed up with the Common Man, one of the best restaurants in Central Vermont and just over a mile from the B&B, to offer dinner, bed and breakfast. We offer a special price to include dinner on the evening of your choice when you book a 2-night stay at West Hill House.

This offer is available on the evenings that the restaurant is open, which are usually Tuesdays to Saturdays. Dinner will be your selection of 3 courses from the wide ranging menu, along with tea or coffee. (Some date restrictions apply, and dinner must be reserved when you book your room.) The Common Man has always been at the top of our list as a great place for our guests to have dinner, and with this offer we will be making it even easier for you to enjoy their great food and excellent service.

Please note that kitchen facilities are not available for guests at West Hill House. With the many great restaurants nearby, including take-out which you are welcome to eat in one of our common rooms, and the dinner options we offer at West Hill House, this should not be a limitation for any of our guests.
