Warren is just about in the middle of the State, 24 miles south of Montpelier, the State Capital, and 45 miles south east of the airport in Burlington. The Mad River flows north through the town with route 100 in its valley. To the east is the Northfield Ridge (our winter view) and the Green Mountains create the western boundary (our "backyard").
Please remember that we live here and know the roads. Please read through our recommended directions!
Please also note the guidance on Parking below.
While interactive customized Google map directions are provided alongside, the simplest way to get here from almost everywhere except SW Vermont and upstate NY, is to come to exit 9 or 10 on Interstate 89, take Route 100B or 100 respectively towards Waitsfield and Warren, then after you pass through Waitsfield, about 3 miles further south look out for a CITGO gas station on your right followed by a green girder bridge which you cross. Turn right onto the Sugarbush Access Road and drive for 3 miles up to the "T" intersection at the Sugarbush base. Turn left onto Inferno Road for one mile which will take you to West Hill Road very close to the Inn. Turn right at the "Y" and you will be right here!
From SW Vermont and upstate NY head for Rutland VT, then take Route 4 east to Route 100 North. Continue on 100 past the turn off to Warren about 2 miles further to the Sugarbush Access Road on your left, then follow the local directions above.
If you are coming north on I 89, Google, MSN etc., and most GPS systems suggest taking exit 5 onto Rte 64 towards Northfield and the Roxbury Gap which is a valid route but it is complicated and it is easy to get lost on it, particularly at night. Also this route is NOT recommended in winter and mud season as much of the road over the Roxbury Gap is steep and unpaved. Instead take exit 3 to Rte 107 then 100 north, or continue to exit 9 and take 100B then 100 south.West Hill Road from Route 100 to Inferno Road is NOT a recommended route during winter months and mud season – use the Sugarbush Access Road route, noted above, instead. Whichever way you come in winter, snow tires or all season radials in good condition are a must. Be prepared for snow covered roads.
Note also that the Lincoln Gap is closed during the winter months and your GPS or mapping service may not reflect this. The Lincoln Gap from Bristol to Warren is currently posted as OPEN.

When you arrive please note the following guidance for parking:
- When you park in front of our red barn please park diagonally - not blocking the big sliding doors - so that we can get our vehicles out of the barn. Come across the road and in the front door.
- For the Garden Room come in the door under the portico up the flagstone walkway and your room is directly to the left. Please make sure you close the outside door FIRMLY and ensure it latches.
- For the Paris Suite use the steps up to the deck and come in your private entrance to the suite.
Please do not park on the roadway, even to load or unload, and when you come in please take care not to let the cats out!
Should you find that you'll be later than about 7 pm, we'd appreciate a call. If we go to bed, we'll leave a note on the front door directing you to your room and we'll give you a proper welcome in the morning!
