The Inn
"This is among the more casual and relaxed inns in the valley, in part because of its quiet hillside location, and in part because of the easy camaraderie among guests. Set on a lightly traveled country road, the inn offers the quintessential New England experience, just a few minutes from the slopes at Sugarbush. Built in the 1850s, this home boasts three common rooms, including a bright, modern addition with a handsome fireplace for warmth in winter and an outdoor patio for summer lounging. The guest rooms are decorated in an updated country style, and all have gas fireplaces or gas woodstoves. Generous country breakfasts are served around a large dining-room table." (from Frommer's Reviews)

The gardens at the West Hill House put on a three season display. Our nine peaceful acres with mountain views, meadow, ponds, gardens and woods provide a setting for relaxation and getting away from it all. Put your feet up on our front porch, the canopied back deck or the airy gazebo. Read a book or watch the "critter shows" as birds and chipmunks, deer and an occasional moose entertain you. Winter visitors can ski at or Mad River Glen, which are both just minutes away, or cross-country ski and snowshoe right out of the front door.
West Hill House is State licensed for the sale of wine and beer. We have a nice wine cellar, as well as wine by the glass, and a selection of Vermont beers available. We also have a selection of champagnes, both French and domestic. State law requires that all alcoholic drinks consumed on the premises MUST be purchased from us so please do NOT bring any alcohol with you to the Inn.
West Hill House was voted one of the top B&Bs in New England for 2007-8 and for 2008-9 by BedandBreakfast.com, and was the only B&B in Vermont receiving this award each year. Check out our reviews on their website. In 2006 the Inn was named Editor's Choice in the Yankee Magazine's 2006 Travel Guide to New England.
