Beaver Management - Photo Album List

To gracefully co-exist with our resident beaver, Brett Crane of Vermont Fish & Wildlife helped us in the summer and fall of 2006 to build beaver baffles to minimize flooding . You can see the project unfold here. Brett's wife Lisa assisted. Then in August 2008 we had to replace the baffle in the main beaver pond as sediment had blocked the original one. We innovated a tethered buoyant baffle to keep it out of the sediment and also out of sight – as far as we know this has never been done before.
